Mini Mission Monday is about finding ten minutes a day to declutter. To make it easy for you, each Monday I set seven declutter missions, one for each day of the week for you to follow. It takes the guess work out of decluttering and makes it easy and “fun” for you to achieve some quick decluttering.
It has been a while, I think, since we had one of those fun set of mini mission based on colour. So why not have a set this week. I’ll nominate a colour each day and you can, hopefully, seek out and declutter an object of that colour. Have fun!
Monday – Declutter something green.
Tuesday -Â Declutter something black.
Wednesday -Â Declutter something white.
Thursday – Declutter something brown.
Friday – Declutter something beige.
Saturday – Declutter something red.
Sunday - Sunday is reserved for contemplating one particular item, of your choice that is proving difficult for you to declutter. Whether that be for sentimental reasons, practical reasons, because the task is laborious or simply unpleasant, or because the items removal requires the cooperation of another person. That last category may mean that the item belongs to someone else who has to give their approval, it could also mean there is a joint decision to be made or it could mean that the task of removing it requires assistance from someone else. There is no need to act on this contemplation immediately, it is more about formulating a plan to act upon or simply making a decision one way or another.

Think I have stuff for every mission this week. Yay!
Mon-green, 3 green hand towels to daughter
Tuesday-black, recycle old cell phone
Wed-white, 12 pieces of white wire shelving to goodwill
Thu-broken & Fri-beige, recycle 10 magazines
Sat-red, unused medicine drop at police station in a red plastic bottle
Couldn’t believe I had stuff lined & they fit this week’s mini missions.

Well done Calla. I am even going to attempt these myself.

Ah colors! I will have to go over my stuff that is out and see what I can find.
Colleen Madsen says
are you all settled in Deb?

Hi, Colleen … great set of missions! I’ve decluttered:
Green: CD – the CD itself isn’t green, but once I tilt it in sunlight, green is one of the reflected colours 🙂
Black: Measuring spoon
White: Stack of paper
Beige: Make-up item
Red: 4 place mats

Fun! I seemed to have woken up in a ‘just get things done’ mood on Monday. I can now justify my ruthlessness by saying ‘that’s a colour, out it goes!’.

I can’t wait to get rid of a few things this week!

Just have to brag about what I did. For two weeks I covered the tv in my bedroom to see if I would miss it. I didn’t. Took the old tv & DVD player to recycle, and returned the cable box to company. I will get $4 off my bill by not having this. In addition to the savings I also like the newly freed up space!
Just had to share my excitement, those locally don’t see what the big deal is.

Calla – that IS exciting!
Colleen Madsen says
Well done Calla. I have only had a tv in my bedroom once and that was for the 7 years I lived in America. I vowed it would never happen again and it hasn’t, and won’t.
Calla says
Thanks to you both!

Hi, Calla.
Cable box returned to company: $4 off your bill.
The way you feel when unused/unwanted stuff leaves and space opens up in your home: PRICELESS!
Well done … sending you a high five with a huge whoop of delight!

Thank you Nicole V!
