Well it is that time of year again and like many people I will be focusing on family and friends at this time. Therefore 365 Less Things will be on a break until just after the new year. So to all those out there celebrating one holiday or another I wish you all the best of the season in hope that you stay safe, healthy and happy. Any may you all have a very happy New Year celebration.
Cheers Colleen

Sadly lives were lost Gail. Sadly less than a week later a tragedy on even greater scale has occurred in North Queensland with the lost of eight children aged 18 months to 15 years. All so sad.

I agree with Gail. Praying for the safety of your neighbors, Colleen.
God bless all.

Hi, Janetta. The way I look at it, Colleen lives and breathes her mantras of decluttering and reducing consumption. She thus presents information from various angles for her readers, who are at different stages of their decluttering journeys. Passion always shines through.

A friend of mine just linked me to this site. My houses/condos/apartments have always been cluttered… clean, but cluttered. So tomorrow gives me one more day before I kick into action on New Years Day! I think I’d like to subscribe to your regular Newsletter.
My quest is to declutter before my current lease runs out which might make declutterring a little less stressful.
Thanks for all the good advice.

Hi Sheryl and welcome to 365 Less Things. At least your homes have been clean and cluttered but you might be surposed at how easy the cleaning process become when there is less clutter to clean around and under. It is worth making the effort to declutter just for that. One of the inspirations behind my decluttering was to reduce the amount of dusting of fiddly little bits.
I recently helped a friend declutter whose lease was up on her apartment and I know how stressful that was for her. It was her choice to move but it had to be done in a hurry because she quickly found somewhere else to move too. Fortunately she had also come to the conclusion that stuff had to go and wow did she let go of some stuff.
I wish you success with your declutter. My best advice is to focus on the joy of each items that leaves your home and don’t dwell on the size of the task. You goal need only be the next item and before you know it space begins to open up.
