Key # 5 Admire your handy work
There is nothing like a healthy dose of gloating over what a good job you’re doing to inspire yourself to keep laboring on. Just stop every now and again and look around you and enjoy the difference you are making. Why not go back and take a quick peak in that closet or drawer you decluttered and re-organized yesterday to give you inspiration to get back on task today. I do it all the time it makes me feel good and encourages me to move on to the next step.

5 Reflections of gratitude for my neighbourhood this year
- Spring flowers and Summer showers.
- All the beautiful birds that live in my neighbourhood.
- New neighbours – People come and go in my life a lot but that is OK, I am used to it. Variety is the spice of life.
- The variety of architecture – The landscape is forever changing around me and I love it.
- The location of my home – It is handy to so many things and I can get there on foot if need be.
It matters not how fast I go, I hurry faster when I’m slow.

And get others to admire it too. I always like that part!

Hi Cindy,
whatever works for you!

I had a friend come over today. she helped me to start decluttering a cabinet full of drawers. It has 12 drawers, she helped me get going with 3 small ones, then after she went I carried on and did the rest. Boy does it feel good to get them done! I sent her some ‘after’ pictures to admire !

Hey Cathryn,
good job and hope she gave you lots of praise and encouragement. I should have take before shots of my house before I got started so I would have them to share with you all when the 365 days are up but I didn’t think of that way back then.
Cathryn says
I didn’t take any before shots of the cabinet either. 🙁 But it still looks good to me this morning! I like that feeling!
Colleen says
Hi Cathryn,
so long as it is working for you.
Di says
Good advice, and oh so true! I do it all the time. Hope you & your family had a very joyous and blessed Christmas!

Hi Di,
like I just said to Cathryn, if you are enjoying the results then it is easy to stay on task so why not revel in it.
